Funds raised from Rick Hansen's legendary Man In Motion World Tour, along with additional support from Provincial and Territorial governments across Canada, Health Canada, Western Economic Diversification Canada, and thousands of individual Canadians, has enabled unprecedented collaboration and progress within the Canadian SCI community. To date, significant progress has been made to accelerate the pace of meeting our goals of reducing the severity of spinal cord injury, improving health care outcomes for people with SCI and reducing health care costs - and much work remains.

As we embark on the celebrations of the 25^th Anniversary of the Man In Motion World Tour in 2011, the Rick Hansen Institute will be engaging government agencies, researchers and health care professionals across the country to reinvest in Rick Hansen’s original vision - supported by a vibrant national network of Canadian SCI expertise - that will help chart a vision for the future of SCI care and research in Canada and the world.
